Több mint 72GW-nyi szénerőmű kapacitás le lett kapcsolva mostanra az Amerikai Egyesült Államok hálózatáról, az EPA (Environmental Protection Agency – Környezetvédelmi Ügynökség) új szabályozásai miatt.
